Galerie JS is 9 years old
On the 28th April 2016 we first opened the doors of our gallery in rue St. Pierre, moving to our present premises in 2018.
Many thanks to all who have supported the gallery over the years and hopefully for a few more years to come.
We'd love it if you could join us at the gallery for an aperitif on Friday 9th May 2025 from 6pm.
If you haven't seen the gallery yet this year, we've improved the layout making it appear brighter and more spacious. There are a few new artworks in both watercolours and oils to see too.
For nostalga here's a few photos from birthdays over the past 9 years...

MONFLANQUIN CELEBRATES ARTS AND CRAFTS AT THE 9TH EDITION OF THE JEMA
From 4 to 6 April 2025, Monflanquin, listed as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages in France’, will be hosting the 9th edition of the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art (JEMA). This year, the event will focus on the theme ‘Traits d'union’, highlighting the dialogue between tradition and modernity in arts and crafts.
A PROGRAMME PACKED WITH DISCOVERIES
AN EXHIBITION IN THE HEART OF THE BASTIDE
In the Salle Aquitaine, an exhibition entitled ‘L'artisanat d'art, une passerelle entre tradition et modernité’ (Arts and crafts, a bridge between tradition and modernity) will offer an insight into the transformation of noble materials and the richness of arts and crafts. Everyday objects crafted with expertise will be on display, illustrating the evolution of craft practices. The exhibition is free of charge and will be open from 11am to 6pm throughout the event, with a preview on Saturday at 11.30am.
MEET THE CRAFTSPEOPLE
Throughout the weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes world of art and craft. Craftspeople from Monflanquin and the Lot-et-Garonne will be opening their workshops to share their passion and reveal their techniques. Ephemeral workshops’ will also give curious visitors the chance to try their hand at a range of craft techniques.
The POLLEN contemporary art centre will be taking part in the event by presenting ‘PROCENIUIM’, an exhibition by Guillaume JEZY that questions the perception of urban space.

The fete of St André in Monflanquin always seems to mark the start of winter, although this year usually clement weather made it feel more like spring.
