"Monflanclocks" - A range of clocks inspired by the architecture of the village.
Handmade in Monflanquin by Jon at Galerie JS in stoneware with German quartz movement.
A great way to practice and improve your drawing skills. Inktober challenges you produce drawings (primarily in ink) throughout October and post the result onto social media (Facebook, Instagram etc) with the hashtag #inktober or #inktober2108.
Never seems to be much time for sketching, but here are a couple from our recent (far too short) break in Biscarosse, on the Atlantic coast.
Just one stage in the jewllery-making process. We take care with each stage of the making process. Hand-drilling each piece after firing gives a much neater hole. Click 'read more' to see how.
Calling all artists and craftspeople. Professionals and amateurs welcome. Don't miss this opportunity to become part of the first Monflanquin Festival of Arts and Heritage.
The festival committee is working with the Mairie of Monflanquin and GEM Arts Plastiques to celebrate the art of the village and much more during the weekend.
New - handmade candleholders in porcelain. Made using the same porcelain material we use for our jewellery, the thin walls allow the condlelight to show through the translucent material. Work particulary well in darker rooms or corners.
Galerie JS has moved. After two days of installing new hanging rail and painting in 37 degrees of heat we are now open again in 41 Place des Arcades in the heart of Monflanquin.
A big thank you to everyone who came to our opening night. We estimate 50 or 60 people came, which is good for a small village the size of Monflanquin.
Here's a selection of photos from the night.
We're hoping to open our gallery in May 2016.
We'll be selling original artworks and limited edition prints of the south-west of France, plus a small selection of artworks with English subjects.
Our art gallery is located in the picturesque medievel village of Monflanquin, in the heart of south-west France.
We sell our own paintings and handmade porcelain jewellery.
Open every day from 10am to 7pm.
Thursdays from 10am to 10pm.
